Description of 2018 Museum Release Myrtle Point Vineyard Pinot Noir

2017 Myrtle Point Pinot Noir

Growing season.
A mild summer with slightly below average rainfall. A smaller than average crop of high quality.

Wine.
A soft generous palate, with nice acidity and length. Liquorice, spice and stewed plums, leafy with dried herbs. Gamey and forest Pinot, earthy and perfumed aromatics. This wine is a good example of the point between young and fresh fruit characters, and mature and complex ageing secondary characters. Drinking really nicely now, and will continue to for a few years yet.
